In the fall 2006 issue of Jewish Educational Leadership, I wrote an article titled: "One Size Does Not Fit All" on rethinking how we develop our Jewish Studies curriculum and standards. It does not deal with the question of teaching peshat and derash readings of Tanach (on that I wrote a different article in a different journal). It does, however, question having a single set of standards for all students and argues for a more variegated curriculum to meet the needs of different interests and abilities.
