Way back in the 60's, when as a member of YU's Debating Team, I traveled cross-country to debate other colleges, I saw then what was happening to the many yeshiva graduates on campus and the general amoral character of campus life. I resolved then and there that my (future) children would not go "out of town" for college. When the time came I told them they could attend any college of their choice that would accept them but that they had to be home for Shabbat. After YU, Stern, Barnard, and then Israel, their successful careers have not been hampered, and my children and grandchildren are still "on the derekh."
