Subjectivity, thy name is "Jewish."
The old story goes like this: an Orthodox Rabbi is he guest speaker at a Liberal Jewish Congregation. The host Rabbi asks his guest about his proposed lecture topic. The OR says: "I thought I would talk about Shabbat."
"Not a great idea," says the LR. "A lot of our members are not particularly observant, and the topic might make them very uncomfortable."
"I see," says the OR. "Then I suppose that talking about kashrut. . .? "
"No, no, no," says the LR, smiling kindly. "That wouldn't receive a very positive response either. You understand."
"Yes, of course. Then perhaps we could talk about business ethics?"
"No."
"Regular Torah Study?"
"I don't think so."
"I don't want to offend anyone," the OR says. "What do you think I should talk about?"
"Talk about Yiddishkeit," said the LR. "That always goes over well."
