Torah Ethics should be integrated as part of the regular curriculum.
Rabbi Erhman in Israel has written an excellent sefer called Holichot
Olam that in written in a Chaye Adam or Kitzur Shulchan Orach type
format. It should be translated into English - and taught as part of the
halacha curriculum. My own experience with the Derech Eretz project than
has been picked up by a number of yeshivas and day schools is that the
"special nature" of this workbook has lead to some teacher resistance
and this is something that we "are required" to teach you attitude -
let's get it over with and go on to some real work. Not very
encouraging.
