--I very much identify with your frustration and find myself in constant search of improved curricula. There is so much more to look at and choose from in the secular education areas. However, having just completed a Curriculum Development course at the local university here, I have come to realize that formulating curriculum is an ongoing, everlasting process.
Just like everything in our reality in undergoing constant change as well as our understanding of how learning occurs, so should our response to these changes be reflected in our Limudei Kodesh curriculum.

As for myself, I find that the most useful curriculum for our students is one which we, my teachers with myself, work together to develop internally. I encourage staff through resources, time allocation, and funds to develop and improve curriculum that has proven itself in our school. Since our
school is "out of town", we do not always benefit from the availability of new materials which are produced in Israel or in the east. Thus, we are motivated to produce locally and we very much enjoy the fruit of our teachers' labor.

If you are interested, we can exchange samples of our curriculum. We have some awesome stuff in every area of Limudei Kodesh for the elementary level.</HTML>
