I have worked with a number of groups of teachers from abroad who have come to the Lookstein Center for Seminars in the teaching of Tanach.
I have examined much of the Tanach material that is available for teachers and I would recommend the material produced by TAL - The Ministry of Education. They have produced teachers guides and student workbooks on the following Sefarim. Sefer Bamidbar for both Primary and High school age, Sefer Devarim for upper primary, Sefer Yehoshua for primary age. They are bringing out workbooks for primary school age children -years 1 and 2 this
Spring. Their material is creative and uses multiple intelligence theory for its suggested activities. The Chumash Bamidbar material is especiallygood.
The only drawback is that the material is all in Hebrew and each school needs to judge its suitability dependent on the level of Hebrew in the school.
However for the teacher it is an invaluable resource. I can order these books for you through the Ministry of Education they are
about 40 shekel a copy- but this I will confirm with their agents who sell them.
