I am responding to your post in the most recent edition of Lookjed. I would like you and other educators who are interested to know about the OJSC course created by Rabbi Peretz Hochbaum entitled - Religious Zionism in the 21st century.

The course addresses these three essential questions:
• What does the Torah teach us about the importance of establishing a Jewish homeland?
• According to the Torah/Chazal, how does the establishment of a Jewish State play a role in the Atchalta D'Geula (the beginning of the redemption)?
• How do Chazal apply the mitzvah of Yishuv Ha’Aretz B’zman Hazeh?
This course gives students the opportunity to explore the topic of Zionism within the context of a contemporary religious perspective. Aliya is one of the topics addressed in this course in the context of religious Zionism.
