<HTML>Another point that could be added to Barbara Freedman's excellent essay
on Sotah is the beginning of the 5th Perek of Gemara Sotah: When a
guilty Sotah drinks the water, the adulterer experiences the same affects
as the adulteress.
I would like to add that in presenting difficult or unfamiliar topics to
students (of any age), it makes a tremendous difference when the subject
is put in the proper perspective before the actual subject is studied.
Once it is learned without understanding the setting, the students are
mistrustful and unaccepting of the teacher's spin.
