<HTML>How do you think a haredi administrator would respond to a question
noting that some well-respected members of his yeshivah's staff resent
tahanun being said on Yom HaAtzmaut and the concomitant lack of hoda'a
acknowledging God's miracles in our generation? There is no pleasing
everyone, especially when serious hashkafic questions are at stake. A
parve Yom HaAtzmaut celebration that pleases everyone denies the basic
religious element of the day. A religious Zionist yeshivah need not be
embarrassed about its hashkafa, and it should not tolerate a public
repudiation of that hashkafa by even the most popular members of its
staff.
