<HTML>Responding to Richard Rudy about a substance abuse program: Our
local police come in every two years to run a D.A.R.E. program. It
teaches the students responsibility, resisting peer pressure, and avoiding
conflict. Our secular staff and Judaic staff give it high ratings.
Being that you're in New York, try Ohel. They may be able to help
you find a program to teach about substance abuse.
At our school we also incorporate lessons of this sort as they
apply to other subjects such as Chumash, Navi, Gemara, social studies, and
history.
