Joseph Kushner Hebrew Academy Middle School in Livingston, NJ seeks a full-time Judaic Studies teacher for 2026-2027 as we expand our program.
Responsibilities:
Teach Judaic Studies classes
Elicit excellence in every student through individualized and differentiated instruction
Partner with administration and parents
Demonstrate warmth, collegiality, humor, and industry in interactions with students and colleagues
Flexibility to accommodate teaching schedule from 8:00 to 3:00 PM; part-time options are also available.
The ideal candidate is:
Eager to create and teach granular, skill-level work as well assignments that create higher-level thinking and engender enthusiasm for academic engagement
Passionate and knowledgeable about differentiation and project-based learning;
Excited to participate in educational programming;
Enthusiastic about working collaboratively with a team of peers;
Eager to create curricula that fosters higher order thinking skills;
An excellent communicator with superior interpersonal skills, in person and in writing;
Willing to work with students with a wide range of learning styles
