Each year, The Lookstein Center works with more than 600 Jewish schools, impacting tens of thousands of students. 

Part-Time Informal Jewish Teaching Positions – Online

The Lookstein Center is seeking individuals with a background in informal Jewish education for part-time teaching positions. This position is perfect for university students. Teachers will teach small Jewish Studies classes on Zoom to public school children (grades 3-10) without a background in Jewish learning. The curriculum, which is provided, covers basic Jewish values, holidays, and traditions.

40-minute classes take place on Sunday afternoons and evenings from October – May.

Account Representative – Maternity Leave Cover

We are seeking a creative, proactive, and results‐driven individual to represent the organization to Jewish Day schools and partner organizations worldwide. The Representative will be responsible for developing and maintaining relationships, understanding school/org needs, and promoting relevant Lookstein Center programs and services. This is a part-time, 6-month hybrid position beginning in September 2026 with some evening hours for phone calls/meetings with North America. 

Responsibilities include:

  • Cold outreach to potential new customers and outreach to existing customers
  • Lead qualification
  • Scheduling and running client meetings
  • Researching market needs
  • Developing and maintaining close working relationships with clients, ensuring customer satisfaction
  • Applying pedagogic knowledge to particular client needs
  • Moving leads from point of inquiry through closing promptly and effectively
  • Working with marketing to ensure that inbound and outbound strategies are effective
  • Developing proposals, billing, and processing invoices
  • Reporting to the team, providing data, analysis, and recommendations

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree 
  • Passionate about the Jewish community, education, and K-12 Jewish education outside of Israel
  • Experience and/or knowledge of the Jewish Day school system in North America
  • Proven sales experience, with a focus on reaching targets and client satisfaction
  • Strong communication skills, adaptability, persuasiveness, resilience
  • Can-do attitude 
  • Ability to work well under pressure
  • Strategic and focused thinker
  • Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills required
  • Ability to work on a team and independently 
  • High-level of comfort with technology and platforms (CRM, Project Management Tools, Google Suite, etc.)
  • Native English-speaker a must
  • Teaching experience, preferred
