Teachers for the 2023-2024 academic Year

 

The Lookstein Center is seeking talented and engaging Jewish Studies teachers to teach small classes on Zoom to:

  • motivated public school children (grades 4-10) without a background in formal Jewish learning. The curriculum is general, based on Jewish values, holidays, and traditions, and intended to give students an overview of various Jewish topics. Applicants must be available to teach on Sundays for a minimum of one hour between the hours of 11:30 AM and 10 PM from September through May.
  • motivated middle and high school students with a background in formal Jewish learning. The curriculum will cover in depth studies of Jewish history or texts. Applicants must be available to teach at 4 or 5 PM on Sundays from October15 – beginning of June. 
  • Instructional content provided. Successful candidates are native English speaking teachers with a proven track record of engaging students online, teaching Jewish Studies, and high level written and spoken communication skills.
