Yeshivah Prep High School (YPHS)
Yeshivah Prep High School serves students with learning differences within Brooklyn’s Syrian Jewish community. Our mission is to provide an academically supportive, emotionally attuned, and religiously vibrant environment in which every student can grow in Torah, yirat Shamayim, and personal confidence.
We are looking for a full or part-time Jewish Studies/Torah teacher.
What You’ll Do
Teach Tanach, Gemara, Mishna or Halacha that is engaging and meaningful to students
Lead or actively participate in daily tefilah (Shacharit and/or Mincha)
Build meaningful one-on-one relationships with students, providing religious guidance and mentorship
Participate or lead Jewish programming during and beyond the school day (shiurim, chagim, special initiatives, etc.)
Serve as a visible and accessible spiritual role model for students and staff
What We’re Looking For
The ideal candidate will:
Have Smicha, Seminary or advanced Torah learning
Possess warmth, emotional intelligence, and a genuine love for working with a diverse range of students
Be able to guide our students in their religious lives. Being able to do so from within the culture and norms of the Syrian Jewish community is an asset.
