ABOUT YOU
The ideal candidate will have experience teaching middle school Science, implementing the science curriculum, and have successful experience working with middle school aged children and their families. They should be adaptable, collaborative, proactive, personable and warm.

WORK SCHEDULE
Working hours are generally 7:40 AM to 3:45 PM. Teachers are expected to attend faculty meetings on Thursdays from 3:45 PM until 5:00 PM.

JOB DESCRIPTION
Teach science to middle school students
Work collaboratively with the science department and other teaching teams on initiatives around pedagogical and curricular initiatives
Serve as a Middle School advisor
Additional responsibilities, as needed

QUALIFICATIONS
Enjoys working with middle school aged children, working closely with colleagues and being involved in other aspects of school life
Supports the mission, vision, values and commitments as outlined on our “About” website page
Shows an appreciation for the craft of teaching, along with a passion for and knowledge of 5-8th grade science
Has excellent interpersonal skills
Kind and possesses a healthy sense of humor
Demonstrates flexibility and ability to take initiative and follow through on projects
Possesses good judgment
Advanced degree or equivalent experience

SALARY & BENEFITS
Salary range: $60,000-$90,000; commensurate with experience. *Base faculty salaries do not reflect additional compensation based on degree level and stipends.
