Middle School Permanent Substitute Position

The North Shore Hebrew Academy (NSHA) is a co-educational Modern Orthodox Yeshiva that inspires students to become passionate learners, critical thinkers, problem solvers and dedicated community members.
We are seeking a permanent substitute who is enthusiastic about working with middle school-aged children and genuinely loves teaching. This position offers a valuable opportunity for professional growth within our institution.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise lunch periods.
Cover classes throughout the day when teachers are absent.
Maintain a positive and supportive classroom atmosphere.
Actively help students develop social and emotional competencies during class coverage.
Collaborate effectively with colleagues and the entire middle school team.
Ideal candidates possess the following qualifications:
Prior teaching experience and excellent classroom management skills are essential.
College degree required; a Master’s degree is preferred.
A collaborative and teamwork-oriented approach to education.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Candidates with strong extracurricular experience are especially encouraged to apply.
Salary Range: $35,000 – $50,000
