Yeshiva Prep High School serves students in the Brooklyn Jewish community who have language-based learning disabilities grow and thrive by providing them with an exceptional, holistic educational program that includes integration with the Yeshiva of Flatbush High School. Our trained professionals nurture every child’s strengths, foster self-awareness and confidence, and empower each student to succeed.
Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and passionate Director of Operations & Student Life to join our dynamic leadership team, led by the head of our high school program.
Key Responsibilities:
Support school-side behavior systems, including implementing appropriate consequences
Provide coaching and support for classroom management
Work collaboratively with the mental health, teaching and leadership teams to create proactive and reactive behavior management plans in response to student needs.
Communicate with parents proactively and reactively about behavioral concerns, creating an open and empathetic relationship between families and the school
Create/maintain school systems, including but not limited to attendance, substitute teachers, and dress code.
Support, partner and oversee special events, trips and extracurriculars.
Manage partnership with the Yeshivah of Flatbush
Qualifications:
Master’s degree in Education; School Building Leader
Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
Experience in educational leadership
Experience leading student behavior systems
Exhibits skill building positive school culture
Ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team
Passion for making a positive impact in the lives of students with learning differences
