About Us:
Yeshivah Prep is a K-12 school that serves students with learning differences within Brooklyn’s Jewish community. Our mission is to provide an academically supportive, emotionally attuned, and religiously vibrant environment in which every student can grow in Torah, yirat Shamayim, and personal confidence. Our high school students integrate into the Yeshivah of Flatbush High School.

The successful candidate to help found our STEM program and MakerSpace will:
Demonstrate the ability to design, model, and deliver rich student-centered learning experiences around Science, Technology, Engineering and Math
Collaborate with General and Judaic Studies teachers and administrators, as well as grade partners and teams;
Encourage and empower students’ and teachers’ innovation, creativity, design thinking and problem solving skills
Vision next steps for STEM Education at Yeshivah Prep
Support, create and coordinate programs and cross-curricular initiatives
Be the go-to person in the school for STEM education
Arrange professional learning opportunities for staff and students
Liaise with outside organizations for STEM collaboratives and/or competitions
Embrace the mission, vision and community of Yeshivah Prep

The ideal candidate will possess the following:
A Masters Degree in STEM education
A track record of teaching in the STEM field is strongly preferred
Is a responsive, articulate, and adept communicator, while also being an effective listener;
Enjoys being a member of a school community who connects with students, parents, and faculty with ease and sincerity
