WORK SCHEDULE
Working hours are generally 7:40 AM to 3:45 PM; additional hours may be required in the evenings.
Teachers are expected to attend faculty meetings on Thursdays from 3:45 PM until 5:00 PM.
RESPONSIBILITIES
● Teach English and History to middle school students
● Work collaboratively with the Humanities department and other teaching teams on initiatives
around pedagogy and curriculum
● Serve as a Middle School advisor
● Additional responsibilities, as needed
QUALIFICATIONS
● Demonstrates expertise in the craft of teaching, along with a passion for and knowledge of 5-8th
grade English and history
● Possesses a strong capacity for advising students in middle school
● Has excellent interpersonal skills
● Strong oral and written communication skills
● Possesses a kind demeanor and a healthy sense of humor
● Supports the mission, vision, values, and commitments as outlined on our “About” website page
● Is flexible and able to take initiative and follow through on projects
● Possesses good judgment
● Advanced degree or equivalent experience
SALARY & BENEFITS
● Salary range: $60,000-$90,000; commensurate with experience. *Base faculty salaries do not
reflect additional compensation based on degree level and stipends.
