Yeshivat He’Atid, a vibrant Modern Orthodox day school in Bergen County, is continuing to grow and is seeking a passionate Science teacher for the 2026–2027 school year.
Candidates should be enthusiastic about science education, committed to fostering curiosity and critical thinking, and interested in working collaboratively as part of a professional learning community. The ideal candidate is skilled in hands-on, inquiry-based instruction, learning labs, and able to create an engaging, student-centered learning environment.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in education, science, or a related field (Master’s preferred)
Classroom teaching experience (elementary level preferred)
Strong content knowledge in elementary science
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Understanding of social, emotional, and cognitive development
Ability to integrate educational technology to enhance student engagement
Experience with differentiated instruction to meet diverse learners
Responsibilities:
Plan and deliver engaging, hands-on science lessons that promote inquiry and exploration
Collaborate with classroom teachers to plan curriculum, interdisciplinary connections, and support continuity of learning and reinforce key skills across subject areas
Foster students’ curiosity, problem-solving skills, and scientific thinking
Manage the classroom effectively and create a positive learning environment
Differentiate instruction to support a range of learners
Maintain open communication with parents and administrators regarding student progress
