Maimonides School, a K-12 Modern Orthodox Jewish day school in Brookline, MA, is seeking experienced candidates for full-time and part-time teaching positions for Hebrew language for the 2026-27 school year.

Flexible schedules and teaching opportunities are available  – with the possibility to teach students in Elementary as well as Middle and Upper School grade levels.

Responsibilties:

  • Teach a combination of classes in Elementary, Middle and Upper School grades. Classes will focus on critical skills related to the four strands of language acquisition: listening, speaking, reading and writing.
  • Provide an environment that encourages participation and recognizes the needs of individual students and the entire group and offer support and flexibility as needed
  • Integrate Hebrew and Israel into other areas of the School through interdepartmental collaboration.
  • Works as part of a cooperative and diverse team of educators and administrators to carry out the mission of Maimonides
  • Cultivate positive relationships with current and prospective students and parents.

Qualifications:

  • Applicants must have a Bachelor’s Degree
  • 2-4 years’ experience teaching, preferably in the Middle or Upper School
  • Experience teaching Hebrew as a second language
  • Native Hebrew speaker a plus
  • Interest in professional growth and commitment to continuous learning
