Middle School Judaics Teacher For Fall 2026

Our two campuses serve 320 students in preschool through 8th grade. Luria offers a sophisticated Jewish day school education in a progressive environment. We are seeking a passionate, collaborative teacher to join our Judaic Studies team. Responsibilities include planning and preparing instructional materials; delivering differentiated, student-centered instruction with ongoing assessment and feedback; maintaining regular communication with families; and actively contributing to curriculum development and instructional best practices.

Successful candidates will possess a growth mindset, emotional intelligence, self-motivation, curiosity and openness to new ideas, excellent oral and written communication skills, and comfort in a school setting where children’s learning and experiences are central to educational decisions. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver engaging, Rabbinics, Yahadut, Tefillah, and Advisory instruction aligned with the school’s curriculum, educational philosophy, and student learning goals.
  • Monitor student behavior and address concerns in accordance with school policies.
  • Collaborate with the Middle School Team, including the Student Support Team to ensure consistency for all students.
  • Student supervision duties during non-instructional times, including lunch, Choice, and transitions.
  • Attend and participate in team meetings, planning sessions, and school-based professional responsibilities as needed.
  • Follow all school procedures, policies, and expectations 

Qualifications

  • Master’s Degree preferred 
  • Training or experience in Special Education preferred
  • Strong Torah text skills required
  • Minimum 2 years of teaching experience
  • Strong pedagogical skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Innovative and dynamic educator

$50,000-$80,000 commensurate with experience
