TAL Academy is an Orthodox Jewish elementary school for students with language-based learning disabilities. We are dedicated to providing our students an outstanding Judaic and general studies education within a specialized setting designed to address their learning challenges while celebrating their strengths and talents.

To meet the needs of our students with language-based learning disabilities, we seek an outstanding assistant principal to join our leadership team.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Collaborate with the leadership team and teachers in overseeing instruction, curriculum development and projection and implementation of appropriate goals for each of our students
Collaborate with the school’s leadership team, classroom teachers, therapist, and parents to support all students in achieving success
Help to design, supervise and participate in various special programs
Provide teachers and staff with strategies and interventions for struggling students
Participate in faculty hiring and retention
Participate in group and individual faculty meetings

Education:
Masters or higher in special education or speech and language pathology

Experience:
Extensive experience in the classroom in addition to leadership roles

Key Competencies:
Strong knowledge base of programs designed for students with language-based learning disabilities
Strong work ethic and standards of professionalism
Ability to be flexible and work collaboratively with others
Interface positively with students, parents and faculty.
A strong, clear communicator, with the ability to speak and write with clarity and professionalism in a timely and pleasant manner.
