Hebrew Academy, a Modern Orthodox Jewish Day School in Miami Beach, is seeking a dynamic and experienced professional to join our team as the Director of College Guidance. The Director will play a pivotal role in guiding and supporting our high school students through the college application process and helping them make informed decisions about their academic and career paths.

Responsibilities:
1. College Counseling:
Develop and implement a comprehensive college counseling program that aligns with the school’s mission and values.
Provide individualized counseling to students and families regarding college admissions, standardized testing, and academic planning.
Coordinate and organize college fairs, visits, and informational sessions to connect students with college representatives.

2. Student Advising:
Advise all high school students on academic planning in preparation for college and career in group settings.
Conduct one-on-one meetings with students to assess their interests, strengths, and goals.
Assist students in identifying suitable colleges and universities based on their academic and personal preferences.

3. Application Support:
Guide students through the college application process, including resume building and interview preparation.
Ensure all required documentation is submitted and processed.

4. Test Preparation:
Collaborate with teachers to facilitate standardized test preparation programs.
Stay informed about changes in standardized testing requirements and provide relevant information to students.

5. Professional Development:
Stay abreast of trends and changes in college admissions by attending conferences, workshops, and professional development opportunities.
Build relationships with college admissions officers to stay informed about evolving admission criteria.

6. Parental Engagement:
Organize workshops and informational sessions for parents to keep them informed about the college application process.
Foster open communication between parents, students, and the school to ensure a supportive environment.

7. Data Management:
Maintain accurate records of students’ academic achievements, extracurricular activities, and college application status.
Generate reports and assessments to track the success and progress of the college guidance program.

Qualifications:
Master’s degree in counseling, education, or a related field. / Previous experience in college counseling
