Category: Differentiated Instruction (Fall 2006)
The structure of the activity involves teachers sitting with pen and paper in silence. The instructional leader asks the following questions, giving adequate time in between to allow teachers to write their answers:
What is your personal vision for differentiating instruction in your classroom? Imagine your vision becomes reality. Describe it as specifically as you can.
What are you doing?
What are the students doing?
What kind of support exists?
What does having your vision bring you? Why do you want it?
How does your vision differ from the current reality? Be specific.
What is necessary to fill the gap between vision and reality?
