What Makes a Kingdom, taught by Zvi Grumet, is a 3-part course that explores overarching themes in the Sefer Melakhim, including:
- The nature and functions of the kingdom
- The importance of culture
- Understanding the difference between ××××ת ×××× and ××××ת ×׊ר××
The broad themes will be grounded in a careful understanding of multiple texts woven together into a narrative. These themes can be very valuable in shaping our understanding of the sefer and how we teach it.
Course will be delivered online on July 17th, 24th, and 31st @12:00 PM EST. Recordings will be provided.
