The Director of Finance & Operations (Director) serves as a key member of RPRY’s senior leadership team and a strategic partner to the Head of School, ensuring the school’s financial health, sustainability, and operational efficiency. This role oversees all financial functions—budgeting, accounting, reporting, cash management, investments, and compliance—while supervising the Business Office, Human Resources, and facilities operations. The Director manages audits, banking relationships, grants, and funding programs, chairs the Financial Aid Committee, and serves as staff liaison to the Finance and Executive Committees of the Board, providing clear reports and analyses. They lead HR functions such as payroll, benefits, and compliance, maintain a professional environment, and oversee facilities, security, IT, capital planning, and vendor management. As a trusted partner to the Head of School and leadership team, the Director supports development and admissions with financial planning, collaborates on sustainability initiatives, and ensures transparency and integrity in resource management. Candidates should have a bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field (CPA or MBA preferred), 5–7 years of financial management experience—ideally in a nonprofit or school setting—strong leadership and communication skills, knowledge of nonprofit accounting and HR oversight, and familiarity with Orthodox Jewish practices. Experience with Blackbaud is a plus. The position offers a salary range of $90,000–$130,000, commensurate with experience, along with a competitive benefits package including PTO and QTR.
