Manhattan Day School, a Modern Orthodox Jewish day school on the Upper West Side, is seeking a warm, talented, and experienced Early Childhood Head Teacher to join our growing EC team.

Our Early Childhood program is rooted in relationship-based learning, developmentally responsive practice, joyful exploration, and strong partnership with families. We are looking for an educator who brings intention, creativity, and a deep understanding of early childhood development to the classroom.

Responsibilities include:
Leading a classroom community with warmth, consistency, and thoughtful structure
Designing and implementing developmentally appropriate, engaging curriculum
Supporting each child’s academic, social, and emotional growth
Collaborating closely with assistant teachers, specialists, and administrators
Communicating regularly with families and contributing to a positive school culture
Participating in team meetings, professional development, and school-wide initiatives

Qualifications:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Early Childhood Education (Master’s preferred)
2–5+ years of classroom teaching experience in early childhood
Strong communication and leadership skills
Deep knowledge of child development and play-based learning
Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, joyful EC environment

Salary commensurate with experience: $50,000–$70,000
