The Yeshivah of Flatbush is seeking full-time school psychologists or clinical social workers to join our dedicated student support team, serving students in our Early Childhood division.
The ideal candidate will support students’ social-emotional and behavioral development through a range of responsibilities, including:
- Consult with teachers on social-emotional and behavioral issues and classroom dynamics
- Address conflicts and social issues as they arise
- Facilitate small groups focused on social skills, mindfulness, and emotional regulation
- Provide case management for students receiving support services
- Coordinate referrals and collaborate with outside providers and therapists
- Support the implementation of behavior management strategies
- Lead and participate in Student Support Team meetings
- Maintain consistent communication with parents, teachers, and administrators
- Coordinate crisis assessment and response efforts
- Contribute to the admissions process by reviewing applications, contacting providers, and conducting student screening
The ideal candidate is a New York State (NYS)- licensed or license-eligible School Psychologist or Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with demonstrated expertise in behavioral interventions for children and families. School-based experience is strongly preferred, along with excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Candidates should be collaborative, reflective, and highly organized, with the flexibility to thrive in a dynamic educational environment and the ability to build strong relationships with students, families, faculty, and administrators.
