SINAI Schools is seeking a highly motivated Speech/Language Therapist to teach children with special needs, ranging from ages 5-8 for its campus in Riverdale, NY, at Irving Montak SINAI School at SAR.
This is a temporary position beginning in mid-October for a duration of approximately 6 weeks.
The therapist will run pull-out and push-in speech and language therapy sessions with our students. The ideal candidate will be Board Certified in Speech Therapy and will bring a wealth of knowledge and experience with children with special needs.
Responsibilities:
- Use speech therapy techniques to address the speech and language deficits of students with special needs ages 5-8.
- Meet with students individually as well as in groups.
- Collaborate with colleagues to identify social/emotional skills and strategies to be targeted in sessions and generalized throughout the day.
Preferred Qualifications
- Board Certification in Speech Therapy
- Experience within a special education setting
Hourly salary range is expected to be $50-$100 per hour.
