As the United States marks its 250th anniversary, how should we tell the story of American Jewish life? What stories best capture the American Jewish experience? How have those stories changed over time? And how should they be framed for new generations of learners?
In this session, we will gather four historians and Jewish educators for a conversation about the narratives that shape our understanding of American Jewish history and how we can tell a fuller, more meaningful story today.
Panelists include Lila Corwin Berman (New York University), Zev Eleff (Gratz College), Judith Rosenbaum (Jewish Women’s Archive), and Ethan Zadoff (DRS Yeshiva High School for Boys) in conversation with Jonathan Krasner (Brandeis University).
