Principal of Judaic Studies (Grades 1–8)
Ben Porat Yosef (BPY) — Paramus, NJ
Ben Porat Yosef is an Orthodox, coeducational Yeshiva Day School serving toddlers through 8th grade, dually accredited by the Middle States Association and the New Jersey Association of Independent Schools. Our warm, mission-driven community nurtures Ahavat and Yir’at HaShem, celebrates both Sephardic and Ashkenazic heritage, cultivates love of Am Yisrael, Eretz Yisrael, and Medinat Yisrael, and empowers students through Hebrew fluency and an innovative, skills-based approach to learning. As BPY celebrates 25 years of impact, we seek a visionary Principal of Judaic Studies / Limudei Kodesh to help lead our next chapter.
Reporting to the Head of School, the Principal will shape and steward the Judaic Studies program for grades 1–8, uphold Ivrit Be’Ivrit, mentor and evaluate talented faculty, and elevate tefillah, chagim, and the religious life of the school. The role partners closely with General Studies leadership, the Principal of Israel & Ivrit Programs, and Student Services to deliver a cohesive dual curriculum and differentiated support for every learner. The ideal candidate is a religious role model with an advanced degree in Judaic Studies or Rabbinic Ordination, an advanced degree in Jewish education, at least five years of Judaic teaching and school and curriculum leadership, complete fluency in Hebrew, and a passionate commitment to Modern Orthodox and Religious Zionist values.
