Frankel Jewish Academy (FJA) in West Bloomfield, Michigan, seeks Jewish Studies teachers for the 2024-2025 school year to teach Bible, Rabbinics, Jewish History and electives to grades 9-12. Candidates should have a commitment to Jewish practice, a foundation in current educational practices and technology, a passion for Jewish and secular knowledge, a dynamic presence in the classroom, an enthusiasm for working with teenagers, and the desire to continually develop their pedagogy.

Salary Range: $40,000 – $65,000. Metropolitan Detroit is an affordable place to live, and offers a rich resource of Jewish Life.
A bachelor’s degree in relevant fields is required. Previous high school teaching experience and an advanced degree (master’s or rabbinic ordination) is preferred.

FJA is a high school offering a dual curriculum of college-preparatory general studies and classical text-based Jewish studies. The school, which operates within a framework of Jewish law, draws its student body from Conservative, Orthodox, Reform and unaffiliated backgrounds to learn together in an open and tolerant, religious environment.
