Torah Academy of Bergen County (TABC), a Modern Orthodox yeshiva high school for boys, is seeking faculty members for the 2024-2025 academic year.

History Department Chair (F/T)
Responsibilities & Qualifications:
Deliver engaging and culturally relevant lessons in World History, American History, Jewish History, and possibly Zionism or Holocaust Studies, catering to the unique needs of an all-boys Modern Orthodox yeshiva environment.
Infuse traditional teaching methods with modern pedagogy to create a well-rounded history curriculum that aligns with both secular and religious educational goals.
Lead and inspire a team of dedicated history educators, fostering a collaborative and supportive department culture.
Oversee departmental logistics, ensuring the smooth operation of the history department within the context of TABC’s vision.
Mentor and support faculty and promote professional growth, while staying current with educational trends and best practices.
Coordinate and collaborate with other department chairs and administrators on curriculum, mentorship and educational policy.
Master’s or Ph.D. in History, Teaching, or a related field preferred.

English Teacher (P/T)
Responsibilities and Qualifications:
Teaching responsibilities will include two high school English classes, with the possibility of more classes in future years.
Master’s in teaching English or a related field preferred.
Proven success in teaching writing and literature at the high school level.
Demonstrate understanding and commitment to reaching students of all levels and learning styles.
Ability to differentiate the curriculum to accommodate students with IEPs and 504 plans.
Familiarity with backward design in lesson planning.
Exhibit exceptional classroom management skills.

Science Teacher (P/T & F/T available)
TABC has openings for teachers in biology, chemistry, forensics, and AP Biology. Ideal candidates should be able to teach at least two different subject areas, work with multiple student levels and incorporate labs and real-world applications. Teaching experience and Master’s degree preferred.
