Westchester Torah Academy (WTA), a vibrant and innovative Modern Orthodox Yeshiva Day School, is a nurturing, dual-language environment that integrates Torah values and academic excellence. We are seeking a warm, dedicated, and skilled Student Learning Center Teacher to provide targeted academic support in math and ELA in our resource room setting. This is a full-time position working with elementary school.

Responsibilities include:
– Provide 1:1 and small group (1:2) support in reading and math
– Deliver specialized instruction using programs such as Orton-Gillingham and Explode the Code
– Administer assessments including DRA, Running Records, and comprehension measures
– Develop individualized learning strategies and monitor student progress
– Collaborate with classroom teachers to support differentiated instruction
– Liaise with the New Rochelle School District to coordinate services, 504 Plans, and IEPs

Qualifications:
– Degree in Special Education or related field
– Experience with elementary-level math and literacy interventions
– Orton-Gillingham certification (or training) preferred
– Strong communication and organizational skills
– Commitment to WTA’s values of Torah, excellence, and care for each individual child
