Westchester Torah Academy (WTA) – an innovative Modern Orthodox Day School serving students 8 weeks through 8th grade – is seeking a creative and enthusiastic Art Teacher for grades K–8. The ideal candidate will be passionate about art education, bring innovation to the classroom, and integrate art history, technique, and occasional Jewish themes and holidays into engaging, age-appropriate lessons.

Responsibilities include:

– Teach art to students in grades K–8 using a variety of media and techniques

– Incorporate art history and the study of diverse artists into instruction

– Infuse selected lessons with Jewish themes and holiday connections

– Display student artwork and contribute to school-wide events and projects

– Maintain an organized and inspiring art room environment

Qualifications:

– Degree in Art Education or related field preferred

– Experience teaching elementary and/or middle school students

– Strong classroom management and communication skills

– Familiarity with or openness to Jewish values and school culture
