WORK SCHEDULE
Working hours are generally 7:45 am to 3:45 pm; occasional hours may be required in the evenings.
Teachers are expected to attend faculty meetings on Thursdays from 3:45 pm until 5:00 pm.
JOB DESCRIPTION
The Elementary Science Teacher is responsible for teaching science content to students, with a particular
emphasis on STEAM integration. While there are broad guidelines for curriculum, given the ages and
developmental levels of the students, teachers are given latitude to adapt the curriculum to meet the needs
of their particular students.
QUALIFICATIONS
● Knowledge of science content
● Has experience and enjoys working with Elementary students

● Shows an appreciation for the craft of teaching
● Has excellent interpersonal skills
● Kind and possesses a healthy sense of humor
● Demonstrates flexibility and ability to take initiative and follow through on projects
● Possesses good judgment
● Advanced degree or equivalent experience
SALARY & BENEFITS
● *Salary range: $60,000-$90,000; Salary offers are based on our salary scale steps, which are
based on years of experience, and are non-negotiable due to pay equity practices. *Base faculty
salaries do not reflect additional compensation based on degree level and stipends.
