Abraham Joshua Heschel School is seeking full-time experienced Judaic Studies teachers to teach Ivrit and Humash in our lower school division for the 2026-27 school year. We are looking for educators who bring warmth, intellectual curiosity, and a deep commitment to Jewish learning and Hebrew language instruction. The ideal candidate is a knowledgeable, pleasant, flexible, and hard-working professional who thrives in a collaborative environment and demonstrates excellent interpersonal skills.
Responsibilities:
Teach Ivrit (Hebrew language) and Humash in the Lower School
Develop and implement engaging, developmentally appropriate lessons
Foster a classroom culture rooted in respect, inquiry, and joyful learning
Differentiate instruction to meet diverse student needs
Collaborate closely with grade-level teams and the Judaic Studies department
Communicate effectively with students, colleagues, and families
Qualifications:
Native Hebrew speaker (required)
Degree in Education, Psychology, Social Work, Judaic Studies, or a related field
Classroom teaching experience (required)
Strong classroom management and organizational skills
Commitment to teamwork and professional growth

The full-time equivalent salary range is $55,000 – $95,000, depending on years of experience.
