SAR High School, located in Riverdale, New York, is a mission-driven, co-educational, modern Orthodox Jewish high school committed to student-centered learning in a challenging and supportive environment.
We are seeking to fill two successive leave positions teaching NYS Regents based Biology followed by NYS Regents based Chemistry from December 2023-March 2024. Since all of our students are required to take biology and chemistry before graduation, it is preferred that the candidate be skilled at teaching students of different levels including Honors, Accelerated, and Grade Level. Our courses include a weekly double period laboratory experience. Coverage is needed for three class sections. If you are interested in one discipline and course, please reach out as well.
The salary is $15-20,000 and is commensurate with experience. Candidates with experience teaching Chemistry and Biology as well are appreciated.
