POSITION OVERVIEW
The instructional Coach is a 6-12 school-wide position that works collaboratively with teachers and instructional leaders to build teacher expertise and understanding of instructional practices to improve student performance and well-being. This position is responsible for promoting high-quality instruction in classrooms through collaboration with instructional leaders and teachers to implement effective teaching and assessment strategies. The Instructional Coach reports to the Dean of Faculty.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Work directly with teachers and instructional leaders to ensure best practices in instruction, assessment, and behavior management.
Serve as a lead professional teacher by staying on top of research in pedagogy (including teaching methods, learning activities, and learning assessments) and sharing this knowledge with teachers and instructional leaders.
Teach or co-teach the equivalent of 1-2 classes.
