Abraham Joshua Heschel School seeks a Lower School (Grades 1-5) teacher to begin immediately though the remainder of the school year. This is a unique opportunity to work with students who have just arrived from Israel. Applicants should be fluent in both English and Hebrew.

The ideal candidate should have the following:
Bachelor’s required, Master’s degree preferred in education, psychology, or related field
At least four years experience working with children in a formal or informal educational setting
Experience working with 1st through 5th grade aged students
Ability to differentiate instruction based on each student
Ability to facilitate engaging recreational activities in addition to academic teaching
The teacher will:
Provide instruction to students on varying grade levels in both General Studies and Judaic Studies content
Partner with teachers and families regarding the needs and progress of students
Collaborate with grade level classroom teachers to modify curriculum and develop strategies to meet the needs of a range of learners Qualified applicants should upload a cover letter
