POSITION OVERVIEW
The Teacher Librarian is a full-time member of the upper school faculty, reporting to the Director of Library & Ed Tech Services. The ideal candidate is comfortable working in a highly collaborative environment where value is placed on the skills and passions of each discipline within a larger context of school mission and integrative thinking. Primary responsibilities include: providing instruction in and access to information resources; collaborating with faculty to cultivate and support usage of the collection of library, information, and curriculum resources; serving as a student advisor; teaching or co-teaching two classes; and collaborating on school-wide programming as necessary and appropriate.

RESPONSIBILITIES
In collaboration with the Director of Library & Ed Tech Services, cultivate a collection that supports the school curriculum and reflects the values, mission, and Portrait of the Graduate of Milken Community School.
Support relevance of the middle and upper (6-12 grade) school curriculum by helping teachers to connect course content across academic domains and authentically explore the relationship between course content, the Milken Community School mission, and the Portrait of the Graduate.
Design and teach research and information literacy lessons that are well-sequenced in terms of content and developmental appropriateness and address contextual and critical research skills, finding and using resources,
