Yeshiva Har Torah, a vibrant and nurturing Modern Orthodox yeshiva day school serving students from Early Childhood through Grade 8, is seeking a passionate and experienced Elementary Judaic Studies Teacher to join our faculty for the 2026–2027 school year.
This full-time position includes teaching two sections of 2nd Grade within our Hebrew immersion (Ivrit b’Ivrit) program.
Position Overview
Teach Judaic Studies to two 2nd grade classes through Ivrit b’Ivrit.
Foster a joyful and engaging classroom environment that supports students’ growth in Torah learning, Hebrew language, and middot.
Help students develop strong foundational skills in Chumash, Tefillah, Parsha, and Chagim.
Responsibilities
Deliver engaging, developmentally appropriate Judaic Studies instruction fully in Hebrew.
Create a structured classroom environment that encourages curiosity, confidence, and respect.
Support students’ Hebrew language acquisition through immersive instruction and authentic communication.
Collaborate with grade-level and parallel teachers to ensure continuity and alignment.
Communicate regularly and professionally with parents and colleagues.
Participate in faculty meetings, professional development, and school initiatives.
Qualifications
Fluent Hebrew speaker with the ability to teach Ivrit b’Ivrit.
Experience teaching elementary Judaic Studies, preferably in lower elementary grades.
Strong classroom management and relationship-building skills.
