Key Responsibilities:
Rotate between classrooms to work with small groups of students, providing individualized or small group instruction based on students’ phonics and reading comprehension levels.
Implement structured reading programs designed to improve students’ phonemic awareness, decoding skills, fluency, and comprehension.
Design engaging lessons and activities that align with students’ IEPs (Individualized Education Plans) and learning goals.
Collaborate with classroom teachers and other staff to monitor student progress and adjust instructional strategies as needed.
Assess students’ reading abilities regularly and provide feedback to help guide their academic development.
Foster a positive and supportive learning environment where students feel motivated and confident in their abilities.
Maintain consistent communication with parents and caregivers to discuss progress and provide recommendations for home support.

Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Education, Special Education, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
Experience working with students who have language-based learning disabilities and/or ADHD.
Strong understanding of phonics instruction and reading comprehension strategies.
Ability to work with students at various reading levels and adapt lessons to meet their individual needs.
Knowledge of current best practices in literacy instruction and evidence-based approaches.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with both students and staff.
Patience, creativity, and a passion for helping students develop a love for reading and learning.
