Position: High School Judaic Studies Faculty Member
Start Date: 2025–2026 School Year
Location: Great Neck, NY
Position Type: Part-Time/Full-Time
At North Shore Hebrew Academy High School, we’re building a warm, ambitious Modern Orthodox yeshiva rooted in Torah — where students are known, challenged, and inspired, and where faculty are active partners in a mission that values growth, curiosity, and character. We’re looking for an educator who brings depth in Torah, presence in the classroom, and a genuine passion for shaping students’ minds and souls.
What You’ll Do
Teach 3–5 sections of Gemara, Halacha, or Tanach (based on your strengths), with clarity, rigor, and patience.
Be present. We expect faculty to show up — not just for tefillah and their classes, but for hallway conversations, moments of struggle, and the relationships that shape lives.
Contribute to school life. From Shabbatonim to informal programming to lunchtime conversations, culture is built in the small, consistent ways we show up.
Collaborate with colleagues who think critically, care deeply, and push each other to keep growing as educators.
Bring Torah to life — and life to Torah. We aim to teach Torah with sophistication and purpose, calibrated to each student’s level — combining depth and discipline with creativity, connection, meaning, and interdisciplinary learning. We believe in productive discomfort, but also in joy, imagination, and relevance.
What We’re Looking For
Advanced Torah learning — Semicha, serious Beit Midrash study, or equivalent
Experience with teens is a plus, but authenticity, curiosity, and a learner’s mindset matter more
Integrity and depth — someone who models what real avodat Hashem can look like
Courage and patience — to engage students honestly and walk with them as they grow
What We Offer
Students who are smart, funny, thoughtful, and spiritually searching
Colleagues who work hard, care deeply, and support one another
Leadership that trusts you, values innovation and menschlichkeit, and gives you space
to grow
Salary Range: Part-Time: $35,000- 45,000, based on experience
Full-Time: $65,000–$90,000, based on experience
