Yeshiva Har Torah is seeking a dedicated and dynamic Middle School Math Teacher for the 2026-2027 school year. This part-time position includes teaching four sections of middle school math classes each afternoon, from approximately 12:15PM to 4:30PM (there is some flexibility within that time frame). The ideal candidate will foster mathematical reasoning, problem-solving skills, and a love for learning in a supportive and engaging classroom environment.
Responsibilities
Teach middle school math, covering key concepts in algebra and geometry.
Develop and implement engaging lessons that promote critical thinking and real-world problem-solving.
Foster a student-centered classroom that encourages collaboration, inquiry, and mathematical exploration.
Utilize technology, manipulatives, and diverse instructional strategies to enhance learning.
Assess student progress through varied assessments, providing timely and constructive feedback.
Collaborate with colleagues and administrators to support student success and school initiatives.
Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff to ensure a positive learning experience.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Education, Mathematics, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
Teaching experience in middle school math preferred.
Strong knowledge of algebra, geometry, and mathematical reasoning.
Ability to create an engaging, inquiry-based learning environment.
Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
