Yeshiva Har Torah is seeking a warm, flexible, and dedicated Permanent Substitute Teacher to support our Early Childhood and Elementary programs. This is a unique and rewarding opportunity for an educator who enjoys working with a variety of ages and classrooms. The permanent sub joins us every day, becoming a consistent and valued member of our faculty, while helping meet the needs of different classes across the school.

Rather than being anchored to one grade, this role allows the teacher to positively impact students school-wide, build relationships with multiple teams, and experience the full breadth of our vibrant learning community.

Responsibilities

Serve as the daily substitute for Early Childhood and Elementary classrooms as needed.
Follow lesson plans and provide warm, structured supervision to ensure continuity of learning.
Support teachers during whole-class, small-group, or individualized instruction.
Assist with classroom routines, transitions, and behavior support in alignment with school expectations.
Build positive relationships with students across a range of ages and developmental stages.
Communicate and collaborate with teachers and administrators to support smooth classroom operations.
Contribute to a positive, caring, and student-centered school culture.
Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Education or related field preferred; early childhood or elementary experience a plus.
Experience working with young children in a classroom or childcare setting.
Flexibility, reliability, and a team-oriented mindset.
Strong communication skills and ability to adapt to different teaching styles and classroom environments.
A warm, patient, and supportive presence with students.
