WORK SCHEDULE
Working hours are generally 7:40 AM to 3:45 PM. Teachers are expected to attend faculty meetings on Thursdays from 3:45 PM until 5:00 PM.
JOB DESCRIPTION
● Teach physical education to children in elementary and middle school divisions (1st – 8th grades) ● Work collaboratively with PE department and other teaching teams ● Coach three seasons of athletic teams ● Plan divisional field days ● Additional responsibilities, such as Health Education and/or administrative support for the Athletic Department, as needed and based on qualifications ● Middle School advisor based on qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS ● Shows an appreciation for the craft of teaching, along with a passion for and knowledge of PE ● Has experience working with elementary and middle school aged children, working closely with colleagues and being involved in other aspects of school life ● Supports the mission, vision, values and commitments as outlined on our “About” website page ● Has excellent interpersonal skills ● Kind and possesses a healthy sense of humor ● Demonstrates flexibility and ability to take initiative and follow through on projects ● Possesses good judgment ● Has strong organizational skills ● Advanced degree or equivalent experience
SALARY & BENEFITS ● Salary range: $60,000-$90,000; commensurate with experience. *Base faculty salaries do not reflect additional compensation based on degree level and stipends. ● Generous paid time off (e.g., sick and personal days, holidays, school breaks). ● Comprehensive benefits package – Complimentary lunch, Retirement contributions, Medical, vision, and dental insurance
