The Director of Community Outreach and Major Gifts is responsible for developing strategies for the cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship of major donors within the CESJDS community. This position works in close conjunction with the Director of Development, Director of Annual Giving, Associate Director of Alumni Relations, and the Donor Relations Associate. The position is in a relationship-building, numbers-driven, goal-oriented work environment. The position reports to the Director of Development.

Duties include:

Identify, cultivate, solicit, and steward donors at the $1,000 and up giving levels and multi-year giving programs,, focusing on current and former parents, current and former grandparents, alumni, and alumni parents
In conjunction with the Director of Development, outline weekly, monthly, and annual performance expectations for prospecting and soliciting, based upon campaign needs, industry standards, and best practices
Develop a pipeline of major gift prospects and facilitate the movement of those prospects through the various stages of giving to ensure the goal is met for the Maayan Annual Campaign
Execute a solicitation plan with an emphasis on personal face-to-face visits
Create and tailor solicitation proposals based on different constituencies within the CESJDS community
Attend key CESJDS events
