Abraham Joshua Heschel School seeks a Middle School Head Track and Field Coach for the current school year.
The head coach will be responsible for planning practices, fostering a positive, inclusive, motivating environment, and creating an atmosphere that reflects the values and goals of the Heschel Athletics Department. Additionally, the head coach will be responsible for organizing the team in such a way that maximizes the educational and athletic potential of all student-athletes and allows students to develop an appreciation of track and field.
The ideal candidate should have a high school diploma or higher education and either have or must be willing to obtain First-Aid-CPR-AED certification and concussion training certification.
The Spring season will run approximately 3 months (March-May) and the specific practice schedule is: one-and-a-half-hour practices; two sessions per week, Tuesdays (3:20 – 4:45) and Thursdays (4:00-5:30). Coaches should be available Monday-Thursday from approximately 2:30 PM to 6:30 pm to attend meets held on Monday, Tuesday, or Wednesday from 3:30 – 5:30 pm. The stipend range is $2,500-3,000, depending on years of experience.
