Follow the instructions at the top of the Padlet below for an interactive, collaborative activity to share family history. This activity can be the springboard for a larger class discussion about Jewish dispersion following the destruction of the Temple.
Instructions: To complete the activity with your students, click the “Remake” button in the top right corner of the Padlet (you may need to first create your own free Padlet account here). To share the link with your students, click the “Share” button on the top right corner and copy the link (make sure that the link is set to “anyone may write”). Students click on the plus sign or search the map to find the location in the world where their ancestors came from. Students should then add to their post, explaining how they believe this world dispersion connects to the destruction of the Second Temple. We recommend asking students to add their names to their posts for easy identification.
